We are looking for a Certified Marine Technician to join our team at our waterfront location on Kootenay Lake! Jones Boys Boats sells Yamaha Motors, ATVs, UTVs and Waverunners. We carry Kingfisher, Thunder Jet, Campion and G3 Pontoon Boats as well as Mercury motors. Competitive wages and benefits are available for an eligible applicant.
Job Duties:
– Maintain, diagnose and repair boats, motors, watercraft, trailers, ATVs and UTVs
– Keeping up on required training
– Provide prompt, dependable, high quality service
– Provide accurate work orders, timesheets and estimates
– Communicate with customers and other departments including parts and sales
– Work closely with the service writers, parts and sales departments
– Keep work area tidy and organized daily
Requirements:
– Certified marine mechanic (preferable)
– Experience in the marine industry (preferable)
– Boating operating experience, as we are an on the water location and water testing boats is required
– Class 5 drivers license and boating license
– Computer skills
– Ready to work with own tools

We are looking for a full time, seasonal (Approx. May – November) detailer to join our staff.
– Must be motivated
– Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
– Must be organized and detail oriented
– Demonstrate ethical working habits
– Ability to adapt to daily changing circumstances
– Must maintain their working area in an organized, safe and clean condition
– Will need to operate a tractor to move boats around
PRIMARY DUTIES
– Detailer is responsible for final clean-up and preparation of boat prior to delivery of boat to boat owner
– Detailing rental boats
– Ensuring the interior and exterior of boat has been thoroughly cleaned
– Detailer will communicate with Team Coordinator to verify the final Quality Control Inspection of boat
– Keep cleaning area in a clean/safe condition
– Buffing and polishing boats
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
